How do we Clean Your Stone Floors
Neptune Stone Cleaning Process
At Neptune Stone Care we follow a 5-Step Process:
- First we Floor prep. First we clear the area of furniture, pets and people. Then do a preliminary sweep and/or vacuum as needed. If needed we will tape and drape furniture or appliances. We do ask the homeowner to move any breakables or electronics to help expedite this process.
- Pretreat. A high alkaline pretreatment spray is applied to the tiles and grout lines. Some dwell is needed here for best results.
- Next, we Scrub. After the pre-spray we mechanically agitate the tile and grout lines. The machines used are either a 175-swing machine or a counter-rotating brush machine. In addition, we will hand brush hard to reach areas and grout lines.
- Extract. After the areas have been pretreated and scrubbed its time to remove the dirt and debris. We use a hot water extraction method here which produces 800-1000 psi at 200 degrees of heat. As the water sprays down it is immediately removed with our powerful vacuum which is dry to the touch shortly after with the help fans.
- Lastly, we will Seal. If requested a sealer can be applied to the stone and grout lines to help with maintaining the stone and grout.
